Notes: Ann (Lewis) was classed as married but no husband at home plus 3 working children + 1 grandson at home. Along the street there was a John Court who was also classed as married but no wife at home and also on the 1861 census a John and Ann Court were married and lived in Walford Street and by looking at the children this was this Ann. On the 1881 census Ann lived at 35 Red Lion Street.

Notes: Wife Alice (37) plus 3 daughters at home. On the 1861 census William lived with his father James and siblings in Evesham Street but no numbers stated on the census. On the 1881 census they lived in Arrow Road, Redditch.

Notes: Wife Sarah (28) plus 3 children + 1 boarder + 1 servant at home. On the 1861 census Alfred was an Apprentice Shoe Maker to William Gibbs in Evesham Street. In the 1870 Kelly’s Directory Alfred is a Boot & Shoe maker, Alcester Street. Seems to have been registered at birth as Thomas Alfred Dipple and this is what he is known as on the 1881 census and they lived Lower Grove Street, Redditch.

Notes: Wife Martha (40) Dressmaker plus 8 children at home. On the 1881 census Thomas now seems to be a farmer and they lived Hob Hill, Beoley.

Notes: Elizabeth had 1 daughter + 1 grandson at home. Her grandson Thomas Emms lived next door. On the 1861 census Elizabeth lived in Alcester Street but no numbers stated on the early census. Elizabeth died in 1875.

Notes: Wife Charlotte (Hillman) (30) Needle Labeller plus 1 daughter at home. Next door lived his grandmother Elizabeth, his mother Sarah and brother Charles. On the 1861 census Thomas lived with Elizabeth Emms and Sarah Emms his mother and grandmother. Thomas died in 1872.

Notes: Wife Rosanna (29) plus 5 children + 1 servant at home. In the 1872 & 1873 Kelly’s Directories John was a Grocer in Market Place, Redditch.

Notes: Wife Eliza (Stanley) (37) plus 2 children + 1 niece + 1 lodger at home. On the 1861 census William is lodging with Thomas and Sarah Sealey in Alcester Street but no numbers are stated on these census and he was a Baker. On the 1881 census William & Eliza lived at 13 Evesham Street, Redditch. In the 1855 Directory and Gazetteer of the County of Worcester there was a William Fox, Baker in Red Lion Street.

Notes: Wife Eliza (Rushton) (31) plus 3 children at home. On the 1861 census William was lodging in Birmingham. On the 1881 census they lived Church Green South, Redditch. On the 1891 census they lived 13 Market Place, Redditch. In the 1870 Post Office Directory William was a Saddler and Harness maker in Alcester Street. In the 1872 Post Office Directory William was classed as Saddler and Harness maker in Church Green, Redditch. By 1884 Kelly’s Directory William was a Saddler and Harness maker at 15 Market Place. Then in the 1888 & 1892 Kelly’s Directory he was Saddler and Harness maker 13 Market Place. In the 1900 & 1904 Kelly’s Directory William was classed as private resident, “Sunnyside” Webheath. William died 18th June 1910 and lived at 140 Birchfield Road, Redditch.

Notes: Had sister-in-law + 1 nephew + 1 niece at home. On the 1861 census lived in Alcester Street and might have been the same number but no numbers stated on the early census. On the 1881 census Emily was visiting James Howells at 5 Alcester Street and she was classed as Town Missionary.
