Notes: Wife Mary A. (Cook) (26) Needle Bright Maker plus baby son at home. On the 1861 census William lived with his father Willian in Hewell Road and also living at the house was his grandfather James Parry. On the 1881 census William was now a widower and lived with his 2 sons in Walford Street but on the 1891 census he was now married to Sarah and lived at 1 Market Place.

Notes: She had 1 working daughter + 1 younger daughter at home. On the 1861 census Fanny lived with her parents John and Elizabeth Swann in Edward Street, Redditch and Fanny was already a widow with 2 daughters. Fanny died in 1882

Notes: Wife Elizabeth (27) plus 2 children + sister + brother at home.On the 1861 census John lived with his father Henry in Walford Street, Redditch. On the 1881 census John is now married to Hannah and they lived in Orchard Street, Redditch. John was a Harpoon Manufacturer and Smith Master. In the 1870 Kelly’s Directory John was classed as Smith & Harpoon Maker, Evesham Street. By the 1872 Post Office Directory John was Smith & Harpoon Maker, Alcester Street. In the 1884, 1888 & 1892 Kelly’s Directory John was a Smith & Harpoon Maker, Oswald Street, Redditch.

Notes: Wife Sarah (70) + 2 lodgers at home. On the 1861 census they lived in Alcester Street but no numbers stated on the early census. Thomas died in 1880.

Notes: Wife Caroline R. (45) plus 1 son + 2 lodgers at home. On the 1861 census John lived in Hewell Road, Redditch and at that time was a widower with 6 children. At the time of John’s death 24th October 1879 he was living in Alcester Street.

Notes: Wife Joanna (39) + mother + servant at home. On the 1881 census Samuel was now a widower and lodging in Cuckfield, Sussex and was a Professor of Music. In the 1873 Gazetteer & Directory of Worcestershire Samuel was classed as Professor of Music, Organist of the parish church, teacher of the pianoforte, organ & singing, Church Green, Redditch. Pianoforte & Music Warehouse.

Notes: Wife Eliza (Millward) (22) Fishing Tackle Maker plus 1 son + 2 boarders at home. On the 1861 census he is living with his parents Henry Morton Stanley and Ann (Thomas) in Prospect Hill, Redditch. On the 1881 census Harry & Eliza lived in Prospect Hill, Redditch. Harry’s brother was William Morton Stanley who died in 1924 and left to the people of Redditch Morton Stanley Park. Harry died in 1909.

(On the 1871 census on the enumerator’s walk this house was after Clarks Yard in Alcester Street) On the 1861 census John’s wife is Susanna and they lived in Evesham Street but no numbers stated on the early census. On the 1881 census they lived Church Green South. John died 20th February 1884 in Alcester Street.

In the 1872 Post Office Directory she was Ironmonger, Alcester Street. In the 1873 Littlebury’s Directory and Gazeetter she was Ironmonger, Alcester Street.
