Notes: Wife Ann (49) Milliner plus 3 working milliner daughters + 3 younger children at home. On the 1861 census they lived in Beoley Road Redditch. On the 1881 census they lived in Beoley Road, Redditch. James of Beoley Road, Redditch died 30th December 1882 and was classed as a Warehouseman.

Notes: Wife Harriet (45) plus son Charles (15) Cabinet Maker + 1 daughter at home. (on the 1871 census the enumerator started at this house in Alcester Street after Church Green East) On the 1881 census Harriet was at 9 Alcester Street but no numbers stated on 1871 census. Thomas was lodging in Birmingham. On the 1861 census they lived in Birmingham. In the 1872 Kelly’s Directory Thomas was a Cabinet Maker, Alcester Street. In the 1873 Gazetteer and Directory of Worcestershire, Thomas Avery & Son Complete House Furnishers, General Brokers, Joiners Cabinet and Coffin Makers. Bedstead, Bedding and Carpet Warehousemen.

Notes: Mary had 7 children + 2 servants at home. (On the 1871 census the enumerator finished at this house along Alcester Street before Ipsely street) On the 1861 census Mary Emma is living with her husband George Arthur Baylis in Alcester Street but no numbers stated on early census. On the 1881 census her son George Arthur lived at 43 Alcester Street. Mary Emma of Grove House, Redditch died 11th February 1875..

On the 1881 census George is now married to Elizabeth and they lived in Melen Street, Redditch. George of Millsborough Road, Redditch died 25th August 1902 at 189 Bevington Road, Aston Park, Birmingham.

On the 1881 census they lived in Birmingham. In the 1872 Post Office Directory Charles & John Ale & Porters Mechants, Alcester Street. John died in 1891.

Notes: Wife Maria (Batson) (35) Needle Paperer plus 4 children at home. On the 1851 census John lived with his parents John and Ann in Alcester Road, Headless Cross. John died in 1872. On the 1881 census Maria was now a widow and lived with her family at 12 Wellington Street, Redditch. By the 1901 census Maria lived at 131 Evesham Street.
