Notes: Wife Ellen (Ingram) (29) + 1 servant at home. (On the 1861 census the enumerator started Alcester street at this address after Red Lion Street) On the 1851 census Rowland lived with his parents William and Hannah in Alcester Road, Studley. On the 1871 census Rowland and Ellen lived in Wavertree, Lancashire. Rowland Such died in 1919.

Notes: Emma (Clarke) had 2 working children + 3 younger children (including Jesse) at home. On the 1851 census she is married to Jesse and they lived in George Street, Redditch. On the 1871 census Emma lived in Alcester Street but no numbers are stated on the early census. On 1881 census her son Jesse was the Licensee of the “Fountain Inn” at 75 Evesham street. In the Jones’s 1865 Mercantile Directory of the Iron District of South Staffordshire and East Worcestershire Emma is classed as Ironmonger, Alcester Street. Emma died 23rd January 1888.

Notes: Wife Hannah (35) plus 1 daughter + housemaid at home and seem to be next door to the “Fox and Goose”. The “Fox & Goose on later census was classed as being in earlier census Market Place but on the earlier census should have been in Chapel Green as possibly this house should have been. (On the 1861 census the enumerator finished at this house along Alcester Street before Chapel Green) On the 1871 census Hannah was living with her daughter Lucy in Handsworth.
