Notes: Wife Lucy (Harris) (61) plus 2 grandchildren at home. On the 1861 census they lived in Evesham Street but no numbers stated on the early census. In the 1865 Jones’s Mercantile Directory of the Iron District of South Staffordshire and East Worcestershire Henry was classed as Grocer, Evesham Street. In the 1870 Kelly’s Directory Henry was classed as Shopkeeper, Evesham Street.

Notes: Wife Elizabeth (31) plus 4 children at home. On the 1851 census Thomas lived with his parents Henry and Lucy who lived in Evesham Street and Henry was a Provisions Dealer. On the 1881 census Thomas was now a widower and lived in Ipsley Street. In the 1872 Post Office Directory, Thomas is classed as Shoe Maker, Evesham Street. In the 1873 Littlebury’s Directory and Gazetteer he is under Boot and Shoe Makers and in Evesham Street.

Notes: Wife Elizabeth (45) Needle Paperer plus step-daughter + 1 son at home. On the 1861 census James was married to Hannah and was a Bootmaker and Needle Polisher and lived in Herberts Lane, Redditch. On the 1881 census James was married to Harriet and they lived in Webheath Road and James was a Needle Polisher.

Notes: Mary had a working daughter at home. On the 1881 census she is classed as a dependant Parishoner and lived in Hill Street, Redditch.

Notes: Wife Sarah (26) + Mother + 2 boarders other policemen. No numbers stated on the census but called “The Police Station & Public Office”. On the 1861 census John lived with his parents John and Jane in Belbroughton. On the 1881 census John was the Master of the Union Workhouse Great & Little Hampton, Worcestershire and his wife Sarah was the Matron. John Kingdon died in 1917.

Notes: Wife Ann (58) plus 4 children + 1 boarder at home – on 1881 census they seemed to be living Littleworth but on 1871 census no numbers are mentioned. In the 1870 Kelly’s Directory, William is classed as Boot and Shoe Maker, Evesham Street. In the 1872 Post Office Directory William is classed as Shoe Maker, Evesham Street and also lived in Evesham Street.

On the 1881 census they lived in Bromsgrove Road, Redditch.
