Notes: Wife Druscilla (Merry) (29) plus baby son + 1 boarder at home. On the 1881 census they lived in Adelaide Street, Redditch. On the 1861 census Richard lived with his parents Richard and Martha in Unicorn Hill, Redditch and also he had brothers William Henry and George Frederick who both lived in Evesham Street on the 1881 census.

Notes: Elizabeth had 4 grown up children + 1 granddaughter at home. On the 1881 census they lived at 125 Evesham Street but no numbers stated on early census. On the 1861 census Elizabeth was married to James Farr and they lived in Prospect Hill, Redditch.

Notes: Sarah had 2 working sons at home. On the 1861 census Sarah Ann was married to Thomas and they lived in Evesham Street but no numbers stated on either of these census. She died in 1878.

Notes: Sarah had 1 niece at home. On the 1881 census Sarah lived at 79 Evesham Sarah lived in Evesham Street on earlier census but no numbers stated on those but doesn’t seem to be the same house.

Notes: Maria had 2 working daughters Mary A. (27) assistant in shop & Maria 25 Needle Hander (at home). No number stated on the census but called “The Small Shop”. On the 1861 census Maria lived with her husband Thomas and their 2 daughters in Prospect Hill, Redditch. On the 1881 census her daughters Mary A. and Maria lived at 81 Evesham Street. Maria died in 1871. In the 1873 Littlebury’s Directory and Gazetteer a Maria Fowkes was classed as Shopkeeper in Evesham Street but must have been her daughter Maria.

Notes: Wife Elizabeth (36) On the 1881 census Elizabeth was a widow and living at 62 Evesham Street. On the 1861 census they lived in Beoley Road, Redditch. In 1870 Kelly’s Directory George was a Greengrocer in Evesham Street. In the 1872 Post Office Directory George was a Greengrocer in Evesham Street. In the 1873 Littlebury’s Directory and Gazetteer George was classed as Fruiterer, Evesham Street. George died 5th March 1879.

Notes: Wife Mary (Morgan) (43) plus 3 children (including Charles William (8) who on the 1891 census lived at 70 Evesham Street) + 1 visitor + 1 prisoner. (On the 1871 census the enumerator started at the “Police Station & Public Offices” on the west side of Evesham street after Park Road) In the 1872 Post Office Directory it stated that the Police Station was erected in 1864 in Evesham Street with residence for the Sergeant, lockups, the magistrates room and the county court rooms, with retiring rooms and every convenience; the cost was close to £2,000. On the 1881 census Charles was Supt. of Police in Great Witley, Worcestershire. On the 1891 census Charles was classed as retired Superintendant of Police and lived with his wife Mary in Beoley Road, Redditch. In the 1876 Kelly’s Directory Charles was Sergeant of Police, Evesham Street. In the 1880 Kelly’s Directory Charles was Superintendant of Police, Police Station, Great Witley, Worcestershire. In the 1884 Kelly’s Directory Charles was Police Superintendant, Church Street, Oldbury, Worcestershire. Charles died 16th October 1908.

Notes: Wife Sarah Ann (29) + 1 boarder at home. On the 1881 census he was staying with his Aunt Jane Harrison at 74 Evesham Street and William was now a widower. On the 1891 census William lived at 74 Evesham Street.

Notes: Wife Harriet (48) Nurse plus 2 working children + 1 younger child at home. On the 1861 census they lived in Mount Pleasant, Redditch. On the 1881 census they lived in Studley and David was still a Needle Pointer. David died in 1899.
