Notes: On the 1871 census Henry had his wife Mary Ann Lavinia (Neale) (38) plus 1 daughter + 1 boarder at home. No number stated but classed as “Ironmongers Shop”. On the 1861 census Henry lived in Adelaide Street, Redditch. In the Jones’s 1865 Mercantile Directory of the Iron District of South Staffordshire & East Worcestershire Henry was classed as Needle Manufacturer, Evesham Street and another entry under Fish Hook Manufacturer. In the 1870 Kelly’s Directory he was Needle & Fish Hook Manufacturer, Evesham Street. In the 1872 Post Office Henry was an Ironmonger, Evesham Street and another entry as China, Glass & Earthenware Dealer, Evesham Street. In the 1873 Littlebbury’s Directory & Gazetteer he was an Ironmonger & China & Glass Dealer, 24 Evesham Street. Henry died 14th February 1873.

Notes: Wife Sarah (39) plus 6 children + 1 prisoner The police station in Evesham Street was built in 1864; the petty sessions and county courts were held there. (On the 1881 census the enumerator started at this house in Evesham Street after Park Road) On the 1871 census Alexander was a Police Constable in Stoke Prior. On the 1891 census Alexander was now a retired Police Sergant and they lived in Park Road, Redditch. Alexander died in 1906.
