On the 1891 census they lived in Lower Grove Street, Redditch. In the 1900 Kelly’s Directory John was classed as Beer Retailer at 29 Alcester Street.

(On the 1911 census they had stated that they had had 3 children born alive) In the 1912 Kelly’s Directory John was classed as Beer Retailer 29 Alcester Street. At the time of John’s death they were still living at 29 Alcester Street, the “Rising Sun”. John was the Licensee of the “Rising Sun” 1893-1919 and his wife Emma was the Licensee 1920-1927.
