(On the 1881 census the enumerator stopped at this house before going on to Upper Grove Street) On the 1891 census they lived at the same address. On the 1871 census they lived in Ipsley. On the 1861 census Thomas lived with his father George and Step-Mother Catherine in Prospect Hill, Redditch. Thomas’s mother was Harriet Bunegar nee Strain. On the 1881 census George and Catherine lived at 19 Alcester Street. In the 1880 Directory of Worcestershire Thomas was classed as Shopkeeper, Alcester Street. In the 1884, 1888 & 1892 Kelly’s Directories a George Thomas Bunegar was Fishmonger, 41 Alcester Street. Thomas seems to have been registered at birth as George Thomas Bunegar and married as such.
