Notes: Mary had her sister Maria (38) Needle Hander at home. On the 1871 census she lived in Evesham Street with her Mother Maria at what was classed as the Small Shop but no numbers stated on the 1871 census. On the 1861 census Mary lived with her parents Thomas and Maria in Prospect Hill, Redditch. On the 1891 census Mary A. Fowkes now seemed to be a patient in Hanley Castle Powick, in the Pauper/Lunatic Asylum and she was classed as a Lunatic. She died in 1900.

(On the 1901 census the enumerator started at this house in Evesham Street after 55 George Street) On the 1891 census lived with his parents Edward and Rebecca Watkins in Church Green West and Edward was a Grocer. On the 1911 census they lived in Park Road, Redditch. In the 1900 Kelly’s Directory there was an entry for William Edward Smith, Grocer at this address and Mineral Water Maker, 16 Park Road, Redditch.
