Notes: Gertrude had 2 school children + 1 barmaid + 1 general servant. Gertrude was the licensee of the “Fleece Inn” 1910-1911. (On the 1911 census Gertrude had stated that she had had 2 children born alive) On the 1901 census Gertrude was married to her husband Richard and they lived in Aston.

At this address on the 1881 census and seems to be at the same address along the Street but no numbers stated on 1871 census. On the 1861 census Reuben was married to Catherine (Cooper) and they lived in Peakman Street and he was a Tailor.

Notes: Louisa was classed as head and married but no husband mentioned plus 2 working sons at home. Her husband William was visiting in Stratford-on-Avon. On the 1911 census Louisa was married to William and they lived at the same address. On the 1881 census Louisa was Louisa Hunt a widow and had 7 children and they lived at 83 Evesham Street. In the 1900 Kelly’s Directory a Harry Palmer was a Tailor at this address. Louisa Kitsell died in 1912

(According to “Old Redditch Pubs” by Alan Foxall Thomas Crow was the Beer Seller here and these premises were known as the “Turf Tavern” and Thomas was the licensee 1850-1860 and then it became the “Fleece Inn”). Thomas died in 1861.
