In the 1835 Pigot’s Directory Henry was classed as Butcher, Redditch. In the 1842 Bentley’s Directory of Worcestershire Henry is classed as Beerseller and Butcher, Unicorn Hill. In the 1855 Billing’s Directory and Gazetteer Henry is a Butcher in Evesham Street.

Notes: Wife Emma Haines Briggs (45) plus 2 nephews who were Butchers assistants at home. No numbers stated on the census but called the “Butcher’s Shop”. On the 1881 census his wife Emma is a widow and lived at 35 Evesham Street and though no numbers on 1871 census they could be at the same number. On the 1861 census they lived in Evesham Street but no numbers stated and doesn’t seem to be at the same address. In the 1870 Kelly’s Directory Thomas is classed as Butcher & Farmer, Evesham Street. In the 1872 Kelly’s Directory Thomas lived in Evesham Street. In the 1873 Littlebury’s Directory and Gazetteer Thomas was Butcher, Evesham Street. Thomas died in 1875.
