On the 1871 &1881 census they lived at 32 Evesham Street and possibly at that address on this census. In the Jones’s 1865 Mercantile Directory of the Iron District of Staffordshire and East Worcestershire Thomas was classed as Wholesale and Retail. Draper, Evesham Street. On some census 32 Evesham Street is the “White Swan” but on this census it is at 1 Vine Street as it is on the corner of Vine Street and Evesham Street.

On the 1871, 1881 & 1891 census it was classed as being in Vine Street. George and family lived in Peakman Street on the 1881 census and George was classed as a Manufacturer. George died 19th January 1894 and was living “Lyttleworth House”, Redditch.

Notes: Wife Mary Hannah (39) plus 1 daughter + 1 servant at home. No numbers stated on this census but called the “Drapers Shop”. (On the 1871 census the enumerator started at this house in Evesham Street after Vine Street going West) At this address on the 1881 census but no numbers stated on 1871 census but seems to be at this number along the Street. In the 1872 Post Office Directory Thomas was classed as Linen Draper & Undertaker in Evesham Street. On some census 32 Evesham Street was the “White Swan” but on this census it was at 1 Vine Street. It was on the corner of Evesham Street and Vine Street.

Notes: Wife Mary H. (49) plus grown up daughter + 1 servant at home. By the 1891 census he was a widower and living on own means and now in Bromsgrove Road. On some census 32 Evesham Street was the “White Swan” but on this census it was at 1 Vine Street so on the corner of Evesham Street and Vine Street. In the 1888 Kelly’s Directory a Walter William Parsons, Draper & Undertaker was at this address. Thomas died 11th December 1906.

(On the 1891 census the enumerator started at this house in Evesham Street after 1 Vine Street and hadn’t changed from Vine Street to Evesham Street) On the 1881 census they lived in Mount Pleasant, Redditch. In the 1884 and 1888 Kelly’s Directory William was classed under Commercial Travellers, Springfield, Mount Pleasant. William died in 1892.
