Notes: Wife Susannah Caroline (Gardner) (45) plus 3 children at home – They seem to be at this address along the Street and the same on 1861 and 1871 census but no numbers stated on early census. William was the son of Edward and Mary and from the well known Redditch Webb family who have a connection to Redditch firm of Webb & Sons in Church Green East. There is a lot of information on this Webb family on the Webbs of Redditch web site.

Notes: Wife Susan (54) plus 2 sons at home. In the Jones’s 1865 Mercantile Directory of the Iron District of South Staffordshire and East Worcestershire William is in Evesham Street.

Notes: Wife Susanna (63) plus 2 working sons at home. Their son William Webb lived at 33 Evesham Street on the 1881 census. In the 1870 Kelly’s Directory, William was Baker, Evesham Street. William’s son William in the 1873 Littlebury’s Directory was classed as “wine agent” but he was partner to his father William and they were William Webb and Sons of Evesham Street. In the mid 1870’s William Webb amalgamated with another confectioner from Evesham Street, James Woodman to form “Woodman and Webb” with Woodman the sleeping partner who soon retired. William died 3rd May 1877 at Redditch and left his business to his son William. Susanna died 21st March 1884 at Ipsley Street, Redditch.

Notes: Wife Eliza (Stanley) (47) plus 2 children at home. On the 1871 census they lived in Alcester Street and William was a Confectioner. In the 1865 Jones’s Mercantile Directory of the Iron District William was a Baker in Alcester Street. In the 1870 Kelly’s Directory William is classed as Confectioner, Alcester Street. In the 1873 Littlebury’s Directory and Gazetteer he is classed as Confectioner and Baker, Alcester Street. In the 1876 Kelly’s Directory William was classed as Confectioner, Alcester Street. In the 1880 Directory of Worcestershire William was now a Baker in Red Lion Street. By the 1884, 1888 & 1892 Kelly’s Directories William is now classed as Baker, 5 Ipsley Row, Redditch. In the 1896 Kelly’s Directory William was a Baker 10 Walford Street, Redditch. William died in 1897.

Notes: Wife Gertrude (Field) (29) + 1 servant at home. On the 1901 census they lived at 3 Alcester Street, Redditch and Edward was a Baker and Confectioner. By the 1911 census they were back living at 13 Evesham Street. On the 1881 census Edward lived with his parents Edward and Rebecca in Beoley Road, Warwick Place, Redditch. In the 1892 Kelly’s Directory, Edward was a Confectioner, 13 Evesham Street. In the 1888 Kelly’s Directory there was an entry for William Bayliss, Confectioner, 13 Evesham Street.

Notes: William had no wife at home but wife’s sister staying with him. William married Clara King in 1899. On the 1911 census they lived Easemore Farm, Redditch and William was classed as Farmer and Baker. In the 1900 Kelly’s Directory William is classed as Confectioner, 13 Evesham Street. At this address in the 1914 Bentley’s Directory.

Notes: Wife Gertrude (50) Housewife plus 1 working child + 2 servants + 1 apprentice Baker at home. (On the 1911 census the enumerator started at this house in Evesham Street after 3 lock up shops) (On the 1911 census they stated that they had had 3 children born alive but 1 had died) In the 1908 Kelly’s Directory Edward is classed as Confectioner and Dining Rooms, 3 Alcester Street.
