On the 1871 census Charles lived with his parents John and Sarah in Alcester Street but no numbers on the early census and then on the 1891 census Charles and family lived in Oswald Street, Redditch. At the time of his death 17th January 1908 Charles lived in Evesham Street.

On the 1901 census they lived in Foregate Street in Feckenhm and George was the Innkeeper of the Oddfellows Arms and their son Arthur Charles lived at 43 Alcester Street.
