Notes: Wife Hannah (56) plus 1 son + 1 boarder at home. On the 1861 census John was married to Ann and they lived in Walford Street, Redditch. In the 1860 Post Office Directory John was a Coal Dealer in Walford Street. In the Jones’s 1865 Mercantile Directory of the Iron District of South Staffordshire and East Worcestershire John was Coal Dealer in Walford Street. In the 1870 Kelly’s Directory John was still Coal Dealer in Walford Street. By the 1872 Post Office Directory John was Coal Dealer in Red Lion Street. John died 28th December 1873.

Notes: Wife Ann (46) Fish Hook Maker plus 2 working daughters + 2 younger children at home. On the 1861 census they lived in Red Lion Street but no numbers stated on early census. On the 1881 census Charles was now a widower and lived in Pound Yard, Redditch. Charles died in 1909.

Notes: Wife Ann (Underhill) (24) Needle Driller plus 1 child at home. On the 1861 census they lived in Mount Pleasant, Redditch. On the 1881 census they lived in Edward Street, Redditch. On the 1891 census they lived in Ipsley Street and their son Charles E. and his wife lived a few doors away. On the 1901 census Ann was a widow and lived 4 Izods Yard, Redditch. Charles died in 1898.

Notes: Wife Sarah (28) Fish Hook Maker plus 1 daughter at home. On the 1851 census Thomas lived with his parents Benjamin and Maria Purcell in Walford Street. On the 1861 census Thomas was lodging in the Lodging House in Silver Street but no numbers stated on early census. On the 1881 census Thomas and Sarah lived in Bushey Fields, Headless Cross. Thomas Duggins died in 1919

Notes: Wife Mary (39). No numbers or name stated on census but James was licensee of the “Golden Lion” 1860-1868. On the 1861 census they lived in Red Lion Street but no numbers stated on the early census. In the Jones’s 1865 Mercantile Directory of the Iron District of South Staffordshire and East Worcestershire just stated that James lived in Red Lion Street.In the 1870 Kelly’s Directory James was classed as Beer Retailer and Shopkeeper. In the 1870 Post Office Directory James was classed as Beer Retailer and Shopkeeper. In the 1872 Kelly’s Directory, James was classed as Shopkeeper, Red Lion Street. In the 1873 Littlebury’s Directory and Gazetteer James was classed as Beer Retailer, Dairyman and Shopkeeper, Red Lion Street.

Notes: On the 1861 census they lived in Red Lion Street but no numbers stated on early census. On the 1881 census Daniel was living “Union Workhouse”, Birmingham Road, Bromsgrove and classed as Shopkeeper, Fruiterer. Daniel died in 1884.
