Notes: Wife Sarah (26) plus 1 daughter Ann Catherine + 1 servant Eliza Whadcoat at home. On the 1841 census Arthur lived with his parents William and Catherine in Chapel Green East and William was a Grocer. On the 1861 census Arthur and Sarah lived in Beoley St Leonard. By the 1881 census Arthur and Sarah lived “Brunswick House”, Birmingham Road, Redditch and Arthur was a Needle Manufacturer employing 54 men, 30 boys and 70 women and 80 girls. In the 1861 Slater’s Directory of Worcestershire Arthur was classed under Needle & Fish Hook Manufacturers, Beoley Mills. In the 1872 Kelly’s Directory Arthur was Needle & Fish Hook Manufacturer, Station Road, Redditch. In the 1873 Gazetteer and Directory of Worcestershire, Arthur was living at “Brunswick House”. In the 1873 Gazetteer and Directory of Worcestershire Arthur was a Needle & Fish Hook Manufacturer, “Excelsior Works”, Clive Road. In the 1880 & 1888 Kelly’s Directories Arthur was a Needle & Fish Hook Manufacturer, Clive Road. Arthur died 29th February 1888.

Notes: Wife Elizabeth (Thomas) (37) plus 3 working children + 2 younger children at home. (Their daughter Sarah Lee married Henry Oakley and on the 1881 census they lived 36 Evesham Street) On the 1841 census they lived in Fish Hill West, Redditch. On the 1861 census Michael and Elizabeth were staying with their daughter Elizabeth and her husband Henry Newton in Weymouth. Michael died in 1885.

Notes: Amelia, Daughter, aged 39 (Needle Paperer); Richard Mogg aged 12, was a Grandson and a Fish Hook Maker Charles Welling, aged 27 and born in Glouceste was a visitor at the time of the census Thomas Welling, aged 18 and born in Gloucester Glous was a visitor at the time of the census Fanny Lawton, aged 25, was a Domestic Servant. On the 1841 census they lived in Beoley Street but no numbers stated on the early census.
