On the 1891 census James is classed as Retired Chemist, Elbows Farm House, Tutnall & Cobley, Tardebigge. In the Jones’s 1865 Mercantile Directory of the Iron District of South Staffordshire and East Worcestershire classed James as Chemist &c, Evesham Street. In 1872 Post Office Directory James is classed as Chemist and Druggist, Evesham Street. In the 1873 Littlebury’s Directory & Gazetteer James was M.P.S. Chemist, Evesham Street. In the 1884 Kelly’s Directory James was at “Elbows”, Tardebigge.
