Notes: In Kelly’s Directory it said James Huins Ltd. Shoe Retailers, British Mills, Prospect Hill & Evesham Street Corner. On the 1881 census James Huins Shoe Retailer lived at 16 Evesham Street. In the 1940, 1949 Telephone Directory it stated that James Huins Ltd. Shomeaker, British Mills (Head Office) and Evesham Street Corner + several other numbers for different areas. In the 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1968, 1970, 1972 and 1975 Telephone Directory James Huins Ltd., Shoemakers, British Mills (Head Office), Evesham Street Corner, 62 High Street, Evesham and 29 Alcester Road, Studley.

In the 1850 Slater’s Directory of Worcestershire Edwin is classed as jeweller, Evesham Street. In the 1855 Billing’s Directory & Gazetteer Edwin is Watchmaker and Jeweller in Evesham Street. In 1861 Slater’s Directory of Worcestershire Edwin is classed under Watch and Clock Maker & Jeweller, Evesham Street. In the 1865 Jones’s Mercantile District of the Iron District Edwin was Watchmaker, Evesham Street.

Seem to be at this address but no numbers stated on early census but was called the Jewellers Shop. In the 1872 Kelly’s Directory Edwin was a Watchmaker and Jeweller, Evesham Street. In the 1873 Gazetteer Directory and Gazetteer of Worcestershire Edwin was classed as Jeweller at 10 Evesham Street. In the 1876 & 1880 Kelly’s Directories Edwin was a Watchmaker and Jeweller, Evesham Street. Ann died in 1879.

In the 1884 Kelly’s Directory of Worcestershire Edwin was classed under Coffee Rooms, 10 Evesham Street. Edwin died in 1886

In the 1892 Kelly’s Directory Alfred was classed as Fancy Good Repository, Alcester Street. In the 1900 Kelly’s Directory Alfred is now classed under Watch & Clock Maker, 10 Evesham Street.

Notes: Wife Annie Ada E. (Marden) (34) plus 2 daughters + 1 servant at home. (On the 1911 census they had stated that they had had 2 children born alive) On the 1901 census Cecil was a Gold Jewellers assistant and boarding in St John the Baptist, Gloucestershire. In the 1904, 1908, 1912, 1916 Kelly’s Directories Cecil was a Watch Maker, 10 Evesham Street. In the 1921 Kelly’s Directory under private residents Cecil lived at 151 Mount Pleasant.
