(On the 1911 census Ann had stated that she had had 1 child born alive) On the 1901 census she was classed as a widow and she lived at the “Poplars”, Ipsley Street.

Benjamin was the son of Walter and Amelia Brown who lived at 61 Evesham Street and Walter was a well known Coal and Corn Dealer as were his sons. On the 1891 census they lived in Mount Pleasant. On the 1911 census Benjamin and Eliza lived “Mowbray House”, Worcester Road.

Notes: Wife Eliza Annie (50) plus 2 daughters + 1 servant at home. (On the 1911 census they had stated that they had had 6 children born alive but 2 had died) This house was called “Mowbray House”. On the 1901 census they lived at the same address. Benjamin William Brown died in 1946

(On earlier census Worcester Road was known as Vine Street) John was the son of Zaccheus Shrimpton who on the 1881 census lived at 42 Evesham Street and was a Needle Manufacturer. On the 1881 census John lived with his father Zaccheus and step-mother Mary. In the 1896 Kelly’s Directory John lived at 24 Worcester Road. Annie was the daughter of Samuel and Jane Allcock and Samuel Allcock was a well known Redditch Fishing Tackle Manufacturer. John died 4th March 1897 at Northfield, Worcestershire but was living still in Redditch. On the 1901 census Annie lived at the same address.
