On the 1861 census Samuel was a widower and lived in Walford Street but no numbers stated on the early census. In the 1872 Kelly’s Directory Samuel was classed as Shopkeeper, Walford Street. In the 1873 Gazetteer and Directory of Worcestershire was classed as Shoe Maker and Shopkeeper, Walford Street.

(Henry Bint was the licensee of the “Britannia Inn”, 35/37 Walford Street, 1868-1872) On the 1861 census Henry seems to be married to Mary Ann and they lived in Wapping. In the 1872 Kelly’s Directory Henry is classed as Beer Retailer, Walford Street. Henry died in 1875.
