Dennis died in 1881. On the 1871 census they lived in Little Wapping, Redditch. In the 1835 Pigot’s Directory of Worcestershire Dennis was classed under Blacksmiths, Redditch. In the 1841 Pigot’s Directory Dennis was Blacksmith in Alcester Street. In the 1842 Bentley’s Directory of Worcestershire, Dennis was a Blacksmith, Evesham Street and another entry said Alcester Street.
