(On the 1901 census the enumerator stopped at this house on Alcester Street before going on to Ipsley Street and wrote that the house was the last in the Ecclesiastical Parish of St Stephen’s) On the 1891 census they lived Upper Grove Street, Redditch. On the 1911 census they lived in Other Road, Redditch.

(On the 1911 census they had stated that they had had 2 children born alive) On the 1901 census they lived at 48 Alcester Street. In the 1912 Kelly’s Directory Alfred is classed as at 48 Alcester Street but he lived at 50 Alcester Street on 1911 census. Also in the Directory a Mrs Mary A. Lewis was classed under Dining Rooms, 50 Alcester Street. He also seems to be at 48 in the 1924, 1928 & 1932 Kelly’s Directory.
