(On the 1911 census they had stated that they hadn’t had any children but had only been married 1 year) On the 1901 census he lived with his parents George and Sarah in Little Lawford, Warwickshire. In the 1912 Kelly’s Directory Percy was classed as Milliner, 6 Market Place. Percy seems to have joined the Army Ordnance Corp in 1915 and at this time was living at 88 Lodge Road, Redditch and was classed as a Storeman. In the 1870 Kelly’s Directory Ann classed as Milliner, Church Green, Redditch. In the 1872 Post Office Directory Ann is Milliner, Market Place. In the 1884, 1888 & 1892 Kelly’s Directory Ann was Dressmaker, 7 Market Place.

Notes: She had 1 boarder at home. On the 1881 census she lived at the same address. Ann died in 1893.

Notes: Had his sister Florence (32) housekeeper + another sister assisting in shop + brother Baker and Confectioner, worker at home. Frederick’s parents seem to live at 5 Market place but the census states it’s occupied but no details given but his father was at this address when he died in 1904 and his parents lived at 5 on the 1891 census. On the 1891 census Frederick lived at 24 Evesham Street. On the 1881 census he lived with his parents Frederick and Elizabeth at 5 Market Place. In the 1900 Kelly’s Directory a Francis Broomhill was a Tea Dealer at this address. Frederick W. James died in 1940

Notes: Elizabeth not at home at time of the census but her daughter Edith (50) filled in the form and stated that she was an assistant in Confectioner’s shop at home and her sister was Housekeeper and her brother was Confectioner Baker at home. (On the 1911 census the enumerator stopped at this house before going on to the Billiard Saloon which was also in Market Place) On the 1891 census Elizabeth was married to Frederick William James and they lived at 5 Market Place
