Notes: Richard had a housekeeper at home. On the 1871 census Richard lived with his father Thomas and seemed to be at the same address but no numbers stated on the early census. On the 1891 census Richard lived in Park Road and was a Manufacturers Clerk. In the 1873 Littlebury’s Directory and Gazetteer Richard was classed as Grocer & Provisions Dealer, Evesham Street. In the 1884 Kelly’s Directory he was classed as Bacon Curer of 71 Evesham Street. In the 1888 Kelly’s Directory there was a John Thornton, Pharmacetical Chemist at this address. Richard Gibbs died 4th May 1907 at the Smallwood Hospital..

Notes: Wife Harriet (65). On the 1841 census Thomas lived with his parents James and Sarah in Evesham Street. On the 1881 census Thomas was a Lodger in Birmingham and his wife Harriet was at 9 Alcester Street. On the 1901 census they lived in Grove Street, Redditch and Thomas was a Cabinet Maker. In the 1870 Kelly’s Directory Thomas was classed as Carpenter in Alcester Street, Redditch.

Notes: Wife Amelia Ann (Duggins) (27) plus 1 son at home. On the 1891 census he lived at 26 Evesham Street. In the 1900 Kelly’s Directory Percy was classed as Watchmaker at 74 Evesham Street. Another entry in 1900 Kelly’s Directory had John Thornton Pharmaceutical Chemist, 71 Evesham Street. Then in the 1912 Kelly’s Directory Percy was at 56 Evesham Street.
