On the 1911 census Ernest was a widower and a Gents Outfitter in Mount Pleasant. In the 1900 Kelly’s Directory Ernest was classed as Pearman & Cassell, Clothier in Evesham Street. In the 1924 & 1928 Kelly’s Directory Ernest Cassell, Clothier, Evesham Street. In 1928 Kelly’s Directory under private residents Ernest lived at 18 Salop Road, Redditch. In the 1932 Kelly’s Directory Ernest was classed as Ernest Cassell & Son, Clothiers, 68 Evesham Street.
