In the 1861 Slater’s Directory of Worcestershire, Richard is classed under Grocer & Dealer in Sundries. In the 1870 Kelly’s Directory Richard was China, Glass & Earthenware Dealer, Evesham Street.

Notes: Wife Mary Ann (48). No number stated on the census but called “The China Shop”. On the 1881 census they lived in Park Road and Richard was classed as a Gentleman. In the 1876 Kelly’s Directory Richard lived at 8 Park Road, Redditch. Died 25th June 1896 and was living in Park Road.

Notes: Frederick had 2 sisters + 2 brothers at home. On the 1901 census he was a Baker’s Manager living at 7 Market Place. On the 1881 census Frederick lived with his parents Frederick William and Elizabeth at 5 Market Place. In the 1888 Kelly’s Directory a Frederick William James was Baker & Confectioner & agent for W. & A. Gilbey, wine & spirit Merchants, 5 Market Place & 24 Evesham Street. This Frederick’s parents lived at 5 Market Place so was referring to them both.
