Notes: Wife Susannah (42) + 1 niece + 1 servant at home – seems to be at this address on the 1871 census but no numbers stated on the 1861 or 1871 census. Also in Evesham Street on the 1851 census but again no numbers stated on that census. In the 1870 Kelly’s Directory Thomas is classed as Butcher, Evesham Street.

Notes: Wife Susanna (51) + 4 nieces + 2 servants at home. In Evesham Street on earlier census but no numbers stated on these census. On the 1881 census they lived Baker’s Shop, Bromsgrove Road. In the 1872 Kelly’s Directory Thomas was classed as Butcher in Evesham Street. Thomas died in 1884

Notes: Wife Lucy (73) plus 1 son John 42 also a Butcher + 2 grandchildren + 2 servants at home. Lived in Evesham Street on the 1851, 1861 and 1871 census but no numbers stated on these census but seemed to be 35 Evesham Street as this is where they seemed to be along the street. In the 1888 Kelly’s Directory John Allen, Butcher 17 Evesham Street. Henry died 23rd July 1881.

Notes: Lucy on the census was called Mother and not Head of the house and she had 3 servants at home. (On the 1891 census the enumerator started at this house in Evesham Street after 1 New Street the house of George Heaphey the Draper and the enumerator then went on to 19 Evesham Street) On the 1881 census she lived with her husband Henry at the same address. Lucy died in 1892.

Notes: In the 1933 Cope’s Directory & Buyers Guide for Worcestershire they were still at this address. In the 1940 Kelly’s Directory they were at 19 Evesham Street. Laura and May were the daughters of Samuel and Ann Thomas and on the 1901 census lived 22 Bates Hill and they with their sister Emma were Fancy Repository Keepers at home on own account. Their father Samuel was a Palm Manufacturer. Laura married Harry Rowley Field in 1903 but she was still classed a Fancy Draper, Employer and lived in Ipsley Street.
