On the 1861 census Samuel lived with his parents Samuel and Elizabeth in Ipsley Street, Redditch. On the 1881 census Samuel and Elizabeth lived at 34 Walford Street, Redditch and Samuel was a Publican but it doesn’t say what Pub. In the 1872 Post Office Directory Samuel was classed as Beer Retailer, Walford Street but another entry said he was a Greengrocer in Alcester Street not sure if it was this Samuel or a connection. In the 1912 Kelly’s Directory there was a Samuel Millward, Shopkeeper, 18 Ipsley Street and this was their son Samuel who was living at this address with his wife and family on the 1911 census.. In 1914 and the 1924 Kelly’s Directory there was a Samuel Millward at 73 Evesham street who might or might not be a connection. Source of data: JC – Census |

On the 1891 census they lived in Skinner Street, Redditch. On the 1861 census Sarah was married to William Tolley and they lived in Silver Street, Redditch.
