On the 1841 census Thomas was staying in Bates Hill and at this time he was a School Master. In the 1842 Pigot’s Directory of Worcestershire, Thomas was classed under Academies and Schools, Evesham Street. In the 1855 Directory and Gazetteer of Worcestershire, Thomas was Needle, Fish Hook & Tackle Maker, Chapel Green West. In the 1865 Jones Mercantile Directory of the Iron District, Thomas was Needle, Fish Hook and Fishing Tackle Manufacturer, Bates’s Hill Works. Thomas died in 1874.
