Notes: Elizabeth, (Baylis) aged 20, was his wife plus Catherine aged a few months + Polycarp Allcock aged 75, Father and a Fish Hook and Tackle Maker + Mary Ann Bedford, aged 20 was a Domestic Servant. Samuel and his father Polycarp were well known fishing tackle manufacturers in Redditch. On the 1841 census Samuel lived with his parents Poylcarp and Ann in Easemore Lane, Redditch. On the 1861 census Samuel and Elizabeth lived in Unicorn Hill, Redditch and Samuel was a Fish Hook manufacturer. In the 1855 Directory and Gazetteer of Worcestershire, Samuel was a Fishing Tackle Maker and Importer of Silk Worm Gut, Unicorn Hill.
