Notes:         Wife Evelyn (Thornton) (24) plus 2 children at home (The enumerator had this down as 14 Red Lion Street but fairly sure this should have been Alcester Street) On the 1911 census they lived at 14 Alcester Street. On the 1891 census Alfred was staying with his father Arthur in Halifax. In the 1904, 1908 & 1912 Kelly’s Directories Alfred is classed as Hairdresser, 14 Alcester Street.
