On the 1851 census Reuben lived with his parents John and Mary in New End, Redditch. In the 1860 Post Office Directory Reuben had 5 entries as Bookbinder, Bookseller, Paperhanger, Newsagent & Printer Evesham Street. In the 1884 Kelly’s Directory he was now Fly Hook Maker, Beoley Road. In the 1888 & 1892 Kelly’s Directory Reuben was classed as Fly Book & Pattern Card Maker, Beoley Road. Reuben died in 1899.
