Notes:         Alfred’s wife was Clara, who was 45 and born in Alcester, Warwickshire. Miriam Moor, aged 15, and born in Church Lench, Worcestershire was their servant. Clara was Alfred’s second wife. Mary Catherine died in 1884, and Alfred married Clara Fourt in 1887. Alfred had several children including Alfred E. who was born in 1861. Although in 1891 Alfred did not give his occupation., in 1871 and 1881 he was a needle manufacturer living in William Street and then at 16, Bromsgrove Road. The Post Office Directory of Worcestershire, 1876 and Kelly’s Directory of Worcestershire, 1892 listed Alfred Shrimpton & Son as a manufacturer of needles and fish hooks at Britannia Works, William Street. In 1891 it was Alfred E. who was the needle manufacturer living in William Street. His father died 30th March 1892 and classed as retired Needle Manufacturer.
