In the 1872 Post Office Directory William is classed as Chemist and Druggist, Market Place. In the 1873 Littlebury’s Directory and Gazetteer William is classed as Dispensing Chemist, Market Place. In the 1884 Kelly’s Directory William is classed as Chemist and Druggist, 2 Market Place. In the 1888 and 1892 Kelly’s Directory he is classed as Pharmaceutical Chemist, 2 Market Place.
