(On the 1911 census the enumerator stopped at this house before going on to 60 George Street) (On the 1911 census they had stated that they had had 3 children born alive) In the 1914 Bennett’s Directory Mrs Ludford was the proprietress of the “Temperance Hotel”. In the 1912 Kelly’s Directory it had an entry for Redditch & District Provident Sick Soceity (Thomas Townsend, secretary) Temperance Hotel. Thomas Cooper Ludford died in 1934
