Notes:         Wife Emma (Wilkes) (32) plus 2 children + Mother + 1 servant at home. – Lived at this address on the 1881 census but no numbers stated on 1871 census but seem to be at this number along the Street.. On the 1861 census he lived with his mother Betsy and brother William (19) who was a Bootmaker (but on later census became a Wesleyan Minister in Newton all Saints, Lancashire), in Peakman Street and at this time Walter was a Needle Straightener. On the 1851 census Walter lived with his parents William and Betsy in Edward Street and Walter was a Needle Scourer and his father William was a Needle Scourer too. In the 1870, 1872 & 1876 Kelly’s Directory Walter was classed as Boot & Shoe Maker in Evesham Street.
