Notes: Wife Caroline (39) plus 3 children + 1 servant at home. On the 1871 census they were at The Tailor’s shop in Evesham Street but no numbers stated on census but possibly the same address. In the 1884 and 1888 Kelly’s Directory Thomas was under Clothiers and he was at 40 Evesham Street. By the 1891 census they had moved to 26 Worcester Road, Redditch and Thomas was still a Tailor and Outfitter and Employer. In the 1892 Kelly’s Directory Thomas was classed as clothier at 40 Evesham Street but private resident at 26 Worcester Road. In the 1896 Kelly’s Directory of Worcestershire Thomas was classed as a member of Urban District Council. In the 1900 Kelly’s Directory Thomas was still a Clothier at 40 Evesham Street. In the 1896 Needlemakers Almanack it had an advertisement for Thomas Haines, Tailor, Hatter, Hosier and General Outfitter, 40 Evesham Street.
