On the 1881 census they lived at 3 Red Lion Street and Robert was a Timber Merchant and Saw Mill Proprietor and Cabinet Case Maker. In the 1876 Kelly’s Directory Robert was classed as Chair & Packing Case maker, Walford Street, Redditch. In the 1884 Kelly’s Directory Robert was classed as Timber Merchants, Sawing Mills & Packing Case Makers in Alcester Street. In the 1892 Kelly’s Directory Robert is classed as Wholesale cabinet & fancy case Manufacturer of every descripion, for needles, cottons, haberdashery &ck Albert Street. In the 1892 Kelly’s Directory Esther was classed as Mrs. E. Glossop, 38 Evesham Street, Fancy Repository. Robert died 5th October 1899. Esther on the 1911 census lived 23 Beoley Road, Redditch and classed as Paper Box Maker.
