Notes: Wife Mary (30) plus 4 children + 20 year old Tailor at home Richard Field was known to be the licensee of the “Duke of York” in 1841 (later known as the “Plough & Harrow”). On the 1851 census they lived in Walford Street and Richard was a Needle Manufacturer. On the 1861 census Richard was living in Evesham Street and now a widower and a Needle Manufacturer but no numbers stated on the early census. In the 1855 Billing’s Directory and Gazetteer Richard was classed as Needle and Fish Hook Maker, Evesham Street. In the 1876 Kelly’s Directory Richard was at the “Queen’s Head”, Bromsgrove Road. Richard died in 1881.
