On the 1901 census they lived at Highfield House, Highfield Road, Redditch and their son John Walter lived at 61 Evesham Street. On the 1911 census Walter was now a widower and lived in “Highfield”, Headless Cross. In the 1900 Kelly’s Directory it stated Brown, Walter and William Limited (John Walter Brown, Managing Director) Coal Merchants & Malsters, 61 Evesham Street. Also in the private residents it stated that Walter Brown lived Highfield House, Headless Cross.
