On the 1911 census Robert was staying with his son Robert Shrimpton Baxter, Band Sergeant, Royal Marines and Robert Snr was now a retired Jeweller and they lived in Portsmouth. In the 1900 Kelly’s Directory Robert was classed as Watchmaker at 69 Evesham Street and there was an entry for Miss Eliza Baxter, Dressmaker at 69 Evesham Street.
