Notes: Wife Emily (38) plus 2 daughters + 1 servant at home. No numbers stated on this census but they seemed to be next door to the Congregational Chapel and seem to be at 44 along the street. On the 1861 census they seemed to be living Beoley St. Leonard, Worcestershire. On the 1881 census Emily was now a widow and lived at 44 Evesham Street. In the 1872 Post Office Directory John was classed as Whateley & Davis, Builders & Wheelwrights, Alcester Street. In the 1873 Littlebury’s Directory and Gazetteer John was classed under Contractors, Whateley & Davis, Alcester Street. John died 9th June 1874.
