On the 1861 census they lived in Church Green East. In the 1855 Directory and Gazetteer of the County of Worcestershire, James was classed as Boot and Shoe Maker and Leather Cutter, Alcester Street. In the 1865 Jones’s Mercantile Directory of the Iron District, James was a Boot and Shoe Maker and Leather Cutter, Church Green East. In the 1872 Kelly’s Directory James was Boot and Shoe Maker, Church Green. In the 1873 Gazetteer and Directory of Worcestershire, James is Boot and Shoe Maker and Leather Cutter, 22 Church Green. James died 11th June 1875.
