Notes: Ann (James) was classed as married but no mention of her husband plus a young son + Grocer’s assistant + general servant at home. No numbers mentioned on the census but seems to be at this number along the street. (On the 1851 census the enumerator started at this house going East along Evesham Street) Ann was with her husband Zaccheus Shrimpton on the 1861 census and they lived in Queen Street and Zaccheus was a Needle Manufacturer. Zaccheus on the 1851 census was a Commercial Traveller/Needle Manufacturer at the “Globe Hotel”, Fore Street, Great Torrington, Devon. On the 1871 census Ann lived with her husband Zaccheus at 42 Evesham Street In the 1855 Billing’s Directory and Gazetteer there was an entry, John and Zaccheus Needle, Fish Hook and Tackle Makers, Unicorn Hill. Ann died in 1875.
