James Rudge was the licensee of the Rifleman’s Inn (but seemed to be called Rifleman’s Arms on census) 1868-1880 and usually classed as being in Park Road. (Information from “Old Redditch Pubs” by Alan Foxall) On the 1881 census they lived in Unicorn Hill, Redditch. In the 1872 Kelly’s Directory James was Beer Retailer, Littleworth. In the 1873 Gazetteer and Directory of Worcestershire, James was at the Rifleman Inn, Park Road. In the 1876 Kelly’s Directory James was Beer Retailer, Park Road.
