On the 1861 census Maria lived with her husband Thomas and their 2 daughters in Prospect Hill, Redditch. On the 1881 census her daughters Mary A. and Maria lived at 81 Evesham Street. Maria died in 1871. In the 1873 Littlebury’s Directory and Gazetteer a Maria Fowkes was classed as Shopkeeper in Evesham Street but must have been her daughter Maria.
