(On the 1881 census the enumerator started at this house in Walford Street after 6 Browns Arch) (a Samuel Millward was the licensee of “Shakespeare Tavern” 34 Walford Street, 1860-1884, this one or his father Samuel) On the 1871 census they lived in Alcester Street, Redditch and Samuel was a Green Grocer. On the 1851 census Samuel lived with his parents Samuel and Susan in Walford Street. In the 1880 Kelly’s Directory Samuel was classed as living at 35 Walford Street, which might have been this Samuel or his father Samuel Millward as both were the Licensee of the Shakespeare Tavern at different times.
