Notes: Wife Sarah (51) plus 4 working children + 1 schoolchild + 1 servant at home. (On the 1891 census the enumerator stopped at this house in Alcester Street before going on to 1 Smith Street) On the 1881 census they lived at this address. At the time of his death 26th July 1898 he was an Inn Keeper, in Redditch. Reuben was the licensee of the “Nags Head” 1879-1900. On the 1901 census Sarah Mills was staying with her daughter Annie’s father-in-law in London. In the 1900 Kelly’s Directory Sarah was the Beer Retailer at 25 Alcester Street.
