Notes: Wife Elizabeth (Brooks) (58) plus daughter Sarah Ann (27) Barmaid + Housekeeper. No numbers stated on 1871 census but the “Beehive” was at 6 Alcester Street on the 1881 census. Their son William Edmund also lived in Alcester Street on the 1871 census but no numbers stated on this census. On the 1881 census Elizabeth was a widow and she was the Innkeeper of the “Beehive Inn”. Edward was the licensee of the “Beehive” 1868-1879. In the 1872 Kelly’s Directory Edmund was a Beer Retailer, Alcester Street. In the 1873 Gazetteer and Directory of Worcestershire Edmund was the Beer Retailer, “Bee Hive”. In the 1876 & 1880 Kelly’s Directory he was Beer Retailer, “Bee Hive”, Alcester Street. Edmund died 10th April 1880 and was classed as Publican and Needle Hardener died at the “Bee Hive” Inn.
